In the current ILIAS 5.3 version, the standard templates for page elements do not seem very modern. A simple way to make the interface look more modern is to set the Standard Layout to ILIAS 5.4, which is available in our system for use. This can be done by choosing the “Style” tab in the page editor and changing the current style in the drop-down menu to "ILIAS 5.4 Standard Layout".
